Jack Parow has announced that he will feature in new Afrikaans vampire movie Bloedsuiers.

Parow will contribute a specially written song to the soundtrack and will also be making a cameo appearance in the film.

“Whether he will play a human, villain or vampire will remain under wraps,” said producer Benjamin Cowley. “Fans will have to wait to see the film when it’s released”.

I guess this makes a change from the regular Afrikaans fare, slapstick humour and Boetie does goed kinda fare. I’m sure this will be worth a watch. The trailer below looks pretty decent.

The movie, described by the filmmakers as a horror-comedy revolves around two vampire hunters who go in search of a vampire prince in the Karoo.

Filming on Bloedsuiers is set to begin at the end of May or early June.

I’m sure you’ve noticed we write about Jack Parow quite a bit. To me, he is a bit over the top and I can’t help cringing when we’re out somewhere and EVERYONE sings along to his songs and they know all the words and they think they are just as kief as he is. This is me cringing just thinking about it.

I came across this music video and I can’t help thinking Jack Parow wants to be like Eminem when he grows up. Doesn’t this song remind you of  Beautiful?

I do like this song, The lyrics move me and  I can relate to some of it but I’m definitely not screaming for one night in Parow.

If you’re South African, you know about this. If you’re Afrikaans, you’ve been there at least twice. It’s that time of the year again! So get ready for another amazing week of the arts in Oudshoorn. From the 2nd to the 9th April all the party animals will come out of the woodwork.

I’m pretty sure I feel like getting in my gogga green car and taking on the 5 hour drive. It certainly will be worth it!  I’ve seen the schedule and I am psyched! I want to tell you EVERYTHING but I just don’t know where to start…

Kuiertuin will feature  performances from Jak de Priester and Koos Kombuis amongst others but it’s all happening on the MK stage people! Bring jou dop en kom party saam! Glaskas will be making an appearance, along with Jack Parow, Van Coke Kartel, Die Heuwels Fantasties, and Fokofpolisiekar. One show I am definitely keen on seeing is Bittereinder. It’s a Peach!

I thought this music video was pretty awesome, and I love the wordplay in the band name… South Africans really do have talent.

I came across this awesome viral video hit on youtube. This just brought home to me how fun things, rather than constant social bickering, back stabbing and racist rhetoric (thanks Malema), is a far better way to unite our country.

I don’t know what her name is. I will call her Cynthia. Check Cynthia rock out when Jack Parows Dans Dans Dans hits the screen.

You might have heard of Jack Parow by now. Jack Parow is the ultra cool Afrikaans rapper you know you secretly love. This guy is so over the top he is stratospheric. I’ll leave any further description of his artistic talent to himself.
