Cape Town Dudes One Man Reality Show Taking Off
3 Jun
So it’s finally happening.
My mate Adin is living his life as a reality show.
Well for the next five years at least.
I’ll be blogging about this going forward, but for now, these are my initial thoughts.
He has a show called (adin)5… Its mostly Facebook based for now, however he is blogging over at adin5.wordpress.com
The premise is pretty simple.
You give him something that allows him to live. So it can be a service, money or advice. That kinda thing. He then uses what you give him, either to fund himself or his reality show or, and most importantly, charities of your choice.
He takes no more than he needs to live and service various debt as well have to do nowadays.
This is all filmed, blogged about, disseminated, rehashed, punted, however you like to look at it.
What do you get?
‘fame and fortune and everything that goes with it’
You get ‘fame and fortune and everything that goes with it’… (I made that up….. err actually no I didn’t Freddie Mercury did… just checking to see if you’re paying attention!)
Seriously though, this is shaping up to be a real marketing vehicle for contributors. As a contributor you get media covered, in a social media context. I’m sure numbers will steadily increase and more and more people will come on board. If you head on over to Adins facebook page at (adin)5 you will see what I mean.
I’ve been working in various marketing capacities for a long time and this has potential without a doubt. If anyone has the drive to live in the spotlight to make a difference, then I have to say it’s probably Adin van Ryneveld.
He is already talking about and punting a few products and services of various people who have helped him along the way. One of which is moi. Strictly no cash for me on this I swear
I’m doing this cos I believe in the medium. The idea is a decent one and it gives back people.
So head on over to his blog and see what its all about. Here’s that address again, adin5@wordpress.com.
Most people have thought Adin is crazy for this. I call it visionary. So please tweet this, retweet it, blog about it if you’re a blogger. This is an experiment worth having and all for a good cause.
You heard it here folks.
