I’ve been follwing the IPL cricket series lately, but the form of the team I support has waned somewhat lately. I always support any team Herschelle Gibbs plays in. So since the Deccan Chargers started to lose a few matches I had to focus my attention elsewhere.

Cricket sure has changed (for the better) since my schoolboy days of going to Newlands, mostly grass to sit on other than the grandstand, no international cricket (apartheid boycotts) and definitely no cheerleaders!

me too. in fact many years ago i used to work as one of those security guys around the field, i got to watch the game from a good vantage point, got a free boerie roll, got paid, even had a dog. Having beer thrown at you at castle corner wasbt always fun, but the traditional sprint for the wickets after the game was awesome….
