I got an sms today. One of those terrible spammy junk ones that arrives from God knows where.

“Join us tonight for the VOTERS party at (******) Buy 1 get 1 free till 10pm, no guys U21, no girls U19. Vote with a hangover its FUN.”

Um what?

I can’t actually believe this message! Firstly it’s totally unsolicited which really grates me, but secondly and much more importantly, these jokers seem to think it’s FUN to vote with a hangover.

I don’t know if this is a sign of the times, voter apathy and all that, but really this is just not on. I deleted the venue name, as I don’t think it’s cool to use something as serious as our General Election 2009 to score a quick buck.
