KONY 2012

I spent the last half an hour of my life being angry but mostly crying at the injustice of it all. This wasn’t easy as I had to do it in an office full of people.

Social networks are now something we use daily and this is how I came across this video.

The video you’re about to watch was made by a guy called Jason Russell. This is Jacobs story, It’s the story of Jason’s journey to this point  and it’s also the story of Joseph Kony.

KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

We are all so busy with our lives and being from South Africa, I myself am too worried about my 5 year old daughter’s future to even notice what’s going on, on this continent. There is so much I would like to say to you right now, but frankly, I am speechless. The impact this video has had on me has been tremendous and the folks over at www.socialyz.com are all in support of the KONY 2012 campaign.

It’s 30 minutes but it will probably be the most educating 30 minutes of your life.
