Will Ferrell Drink His Own Urine?
26 Apr

Will Ferrell has recently appeared alongside Bear Grylls on Discovery Channel’s Man vs. Wild.
For the first time, Bear Grylls – an ex-Special Forces soldier and survival expert – went on a two-day joint expedition with the comedian in the Swedish hinterland.
I love watching Ultimate Survival type programs and I’m so glad a celeb is willing to do this. And who better than Will Ferrel? I mean how would I have made the headline here without ‘will’ being in the name? Also Ferrell is close to feral… you get the idea.
So I’m wondering if Will Ferrell will find anything to joke about on this little trip.
“Pairing one of the toughest men alive with one of the funniest will be an absolute riot,” said John Ford, the president of Discovery Channel. “I can’t wait to watch.”
Armed with only the most basic survival equipment, Grylls took Ferrell through the paces of real life survival in the ice-bound mountain and glacier ranges in the far north of Sweden.
Grylls showed the actor – who took part in the show to promote his upcoming adventure comedy, Land of the Lost – what it takes to find food in the forests. They even drink their own urine and bite into reindeer eyeballs. Reindeer EYEBALLS?? Sick man!
New kinda TV dinner.
Im assuming they had a whole reindeer to chow down on, why go for the eyeballs? No doubt Grylls had some absolutely logical reason for doing so. Im thinking TV audiences.
“To be able to participate in an episode of Man vs. Wild was a thrill of a lifetime, even though I did get urine-drunk which is sad,” Ferrell said in a statement to Usmagazine.com.
Besides eating the poor buggers eyeballs, the two tandem-abseiled off of a helicopter, rappelled down hundred foot frozen waterfalls, improvised snow shoes from saplings and built a shelter to stay warm overnight in freezing temperatures.
“Will did an amazing job in sub-zero, very unforgiving conditions,” Grylls said. “He trusted me when it mattered and we survived. And he has definitely had an adventure! He should be very proud of how he performed.”
The special episode will air on the Discovery Channel in early June.
