South Africas Answer To Chuck Norris

25 Jun

Wow this oke is the shit!

The Times is reporting that a dude Called Roy Sampson went all ‘vigilante and shit’ on some criminals and managed to ‘slit ones throat’ and ‘stab the other fucker twice in the eye…

Hardcore dude!

Now either this is fabrication city or we have a bona fide hero on our hands. Heres the article.

A MARTIAL arts expert, who claims he took on seven armed hijackers, told The Times that it was his skill and sheer luck that saved his life.

The father of one, Roy Sampson, who trained in tactical pistol shooting in the US and is skilled at martial arts, yesterday spoke of his ordeal of a week ago. He said he slit the throat of one of the hijackers and stabbed another twice in the eye.

The seven men apparently pounced on Sampson, 34, an earth-moving equipment salesman, while he was on his way to visit a client near the Olifantsfontein off-ramp in Midrand last Wednesday.

Dude I dunno if the fact he is an Earth Moving Equipment salesman has anything to do with proceedings.

Incidentally no-one else saw a thing (deffo not the dude with his new eyes issues) and the cops ‘haven’t found any bodies…’

Yes, this is absolutely true. I know Ray (not Roy!) personally and he’s the nicest person you’d ever want to meet. Unless you’re a hijacker :D

Well, it’s not a fabrication. I’m the journalist who interviewed Sampson for 702, and it really happened. So yeah, we have a hero on our hands.

I am Ray Sampson and I want to get the word out there. I was not trying to become any sort of Hero. I wanted to get back to my wife and daughter. I’m no Chuck Norris anyone who knows me and my life past and present knows that I am not the guy who shuts his door when he hears someone shouting for help but I am also tired of being a victim. I am not saying we should take to the streets with forks and torches, but we must all learn to take care of ourselves or at least know what is expected of us in a pinch. I’m not a hero I’m like every other South African who have weighed out his option and who have decided that this country is worth fighting for.
