The Parlotones In 3D

I did an article a while back on The Parlotones and their concert at the Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town earlier this year and my thoughts were “what can they possibly do next?” well, this is what they are doing next.

The Parlotones will be the first band EVER in the WORLD to broadcast live in 3D across the globe and on July 16th you can see them at all Nu Metro Cinemas in Johannesburg, as well as the participating others listed below! Whoohooooo!!  We see in 3D anyway right?  Allow me to explain…

“On the 16th of July 2011 ‘Dragonflies & Astronauts’ featuring The Parlotones – Driven by Volkswagen, in association with 94.7 Highveld Stereo, Mnet and Nu Metro will be broadcast live from The Teatro at Montecasino in 3D. The transmission – a world first – will be beamed via satellite to 3D outlets around the globe.”

“Fans all over South Africa that cannot make the Live Theatre production will be happy to know that NuMetro has come on board as our live 3D broadcast partner in South Africa. Fans of The Parlotones will be able to catch all the action in full 3D in real time. “
