Cape Town Girl Wins Big At Brooklyn Film Festival

When I grew up (which is a matter of opinion!) I went to school at Milnerton High School, not always the most glamorous school, but well loved nonetheless.

It was with great pleasure then that I read today about a high school compatriot of mine, Dara Kell, winning the Grand Chameleon Award for directing the best film and documentary as awarded at the closing night ceremony of the 2012 Brooklyn Film Festival.

That is indeed an honour. Well done to Dara and Christopher Nizza for your success with “Dear Mandela”. The trailer for this documentary looks explosive! I’m sure this is something every South African should watch.

Well done guys!
