Most Insane Water Faceplant

With Spring Officially here tomorrow, I thought I’d share a little video clip with you.

You see it has those wonderful elements of water, fun and sun! The joyous feeling of invincibility that you can only really appreciate in your twenties. All the things we love here on the Southern Tip of Africa, all the things people come from all over the world to experience and enjoy. Again and again…

People like my English mate Tom.

Tom can be seen in this video pulling off a technically difficult but aesthetically pleasing porpoise dive. As you can see he absolutely nails it, with his execution down to perfection.

Being a consumate sportsman and avid scrap booker, Tom is used to not showing fear, not showing when something bad happens, not giving the game away.

Its easy for him.

That’s why in this case he simply smiled, took the warm applause disgracefully (just like his dive) all the while keeping the fact that he had burst his eardrum a secret.

Thats right, a burst eardrum. A few months of pain for a legendary porpoise dive? That’s an easy trade really.

That has got to be one of the most insane porpoise dives ever recorded!
