M-Net has launched a brand new campaign full of colours, creativity and music from South Africa’s favourite band, The Parlotones, “evoking” that Magic feeling.

The creation of The Parlotones’ new song, It’s Magic, cements a  partnership between M-Net and the South African superstars. It is the first time that the Parlotones have written a brand new song for a TV channel, as well as the first time in South Africa that a TV channel is creating a radio release as part of a brand new campaign. The Parlotones won three South African Music Awards last month.

Ryan Giggs has allegedly offered his devastated brother £250,000 (R2.75m) in hush money to avoid further revelations about his love life.

The Manchester United star is trying to gag the brother he betrayed in an attempt to persuade him not to reveal more sex secrets.

According to The Sun newspaper Giggs, 37, will pay up if Rhodri signs an agreement not to make any bombshell revelations.

The source added: ‘He’ll almost certainly know if there were other girls in his brother’s life.’

Last week it was revealed that Ryan had embarked on an eight year affair with Rhodri’s wife Natasha.

South African music duo Locnville are furious after allegedly being assaulted by police at a filling station in Cape Town, a report says.

According to Eyewitness News, Andrew Chaplin claims he and his twin brother Brian were walking in Claremont with a friend in the early hours of Thursday morning when they were insulted by another group of people who did not like their music.

“Someone said something really inappropriate to us as people but for some reason the police followed us and stopped us in the middle of the road and attacked us. I cannot stand for that,” said Chaplin.

Chaplin claimed police officers pepper-sprayed his twin and broke his friend’s nose. The musician reportedly admitted they had been drinking.

He said officials at the Claremont Police Station would not let him lay a formal complaint.

“We called the police station and tried to lay a formal complaint but they kept hanging up on us numerous times,” he told Eyewitness News.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut said they could not confirm the incident bacuse they had not received a formal complaint.

A third woman is set to claim she had an affair with Ryan Giggs that ended only on his wedding day.

In the latest blow to the Manchester United star’s reputation, the unnamed woman is expected to join his sister-in-law Natasha and reality TV star Imogen Thomas in branding him a love cheat.

I’ll admit I know next to nothing about fashion and I can’t really stand Lady Gaga, so when I see that she got the prestigious Fashion Icon award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, I must say that my immediate reaction was WHAT?

Then I saw what she wore. Some of you may feel that this is ignorant on my part and that I maybe need to “get with the times”, but seriously. She looks to me like she couldn’t decide what to wear, so simply chucked on some black bags and sticky taped her dogs collar to her lady-parts.

And of course there was the almost obligatory wardrobe malfunction as she stood posing like someone checking to see if they have bad armpit odour for the fawning photographers. Ah well, I thought. It’s just me. I suppose this is what fashion is all about?

Until I saw the pictures of her accepting her award and at the after party. Then I realised it’s not fashion at all. It’s just another classic case of “one day people will realise I don’t sing all that well and so I better find other ways to put myself out there before the Fame monster vomits me out again syndrome”.

It’s MTV Movie awards time and using a now worn out little attention grabbing trick, Justin Timberlake groped ‘Friends with Benefits’ co-star Mila Kunis’ breasts while they presented the award for Best Male Performance.

Justin said: “Even though we’re in the movie ‘Friends with Benefits’, we’ve never dated.”

Then, grabbing her chest, he added: “We have a totally platonic relationship, which is why I can do this.”

Ryan Giggs’ brother Rhodri has split from his wife following claims she had an affair with the Manchester United star, it has been reported.

It seems Giggsy knows how to work those balls even off the field.

According to Mail Online, Rhodri, 34, is said to be “devastated” over the reported eight-year relationship between his wife and his brother, and has now apparently ended his marriage, telling The Sun: “I was with her on Saturday but I’m not with her now.”

“He’s devastated and can’t believe the extent of his humiliation – by both of them.

“Rhodri said: ‘I know me and Ryan have had our ups and downs but this is the lowest of the low.’ He has suspicions that something may have gone on between Ryan and Natasha, but he never thought it was to this extent. His head is in a mess.”

It is reported that Natasha, 28, and Giggs had begun their relationship before she began dating his younger brother Rhodri.

The News of the World claimed Giggs slept with Natasha the day after his eight-year-old daughter was born, and again the day after the arrival of his four-year-old son. The affair was alleged to have continued until April 9.

Natasha allegedly decided to break her silence after Giggs’ alleged fling with former Big Brother housemate Imogen Thomas made headlines around the world.

Last night Asstastic and I went to see Pirates of the Carribean and I started acting all weird like and shit like a pirate. Well one of the trailers was for Transformers 3D The Dark Of the Moon. You know that here at Socialyz we love that kind of shit, moon landings and space and aliens and all of that, so this movie trailer, especially in 3D was mind blowing. I can’t wait for this movie to come out, only a few short weeks to go.

Who knows maybe I’ll start talking in code and landing on moons n shit.

Hopefully next time my chair at the cinema won’t be broken. Oh if only…

Earlier I wrote an article on how 3D porn can (apparently) make you pregnant. It was all a bit of a laugh but I’m starting to think it’s true.

Joe Social and I were out for our weekly romantic-do-something-with-your-other-half special and after enjoying a much needed lunch we decided to go watch Pirates of the Carribean’s 4th installment.

I was merrily driving home when Joe Social said ” Steady as she goes”.  I thought it was a joke and thought nothing of it. Now however he ever keeps  answering me with “aye”. It’s not funny anymore, I think watching 3D movies about pirates turns you into a pirate!

The movie wasn’t as good as the first three so hopefully Joe Social’s urge to speak pirate to me will wear off soon!

A GOOGLE Mars User has found what he believes is a ‘space station’ on Mars.

American armchair astronaut David Martines posted a clip of his trip to the surface of the planet on YouTube.

He found the image on the Red Planet by accident but has provided fellow explorers with the coordinates of the ‘object’ so they can discover it for themselves.

He used Googles maps of the astral body and his video has already clocked up a 58,000 views.

David explains how he found the ‘space station’ or possibly ‘power station’ quite by accident at coordinates 71 49’19.73″N 29 33’06.53″W.

We are not inheritary racists, we have friends from all different races but in South Africa its extremey difficult to not think about race when the people in charge are constantly talking about race, constantly bringing up racism and constantly pointing fingers at people based on race all the while ignoring the fact that their incomes and their policys are influenced by their racist rants.

At Socialyz we have an enormous amount of articles surrounding JuJu and the ANC. Their election campaign had me vomiting on a daily basis and I couldn’t help but wonder who would actually vote for these idiots.

Their campaign was based on race. Are you black or white or coloured? Are you a boer? Actually yes I am white and my forefathers are boers and I think it’s disgusting that you tar all white people with the same brush. This goes both ways by the way. (more…)

Confectionery giant Cadbury has apologised to supermodel Naomi Campbell after she complained that an advert comparing her to a chocolate bar was racist.

The advert, which appeared in a national newspaper in the UK last week, showed a picture of a Dairy Milk Bliss chocolate bar on a bed of diamonds under the headline, “Move over, Naomi, there’s a new diva in town”.

Cadbury, which is owned by US company Kraft Foods, claimed that the advert was a tongue-in-cheek reference to Campbell’s famous tantrums.

But the most successful black model of her generation refused to back down and demanded an apology.

“I am shocked,” she said. “It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humour in this. It is insulting and hurtful.”
