Toni Tramel from Kentucky has been charged with third degree assault for whipping out her breast and squirting breast milk into the face of a police officer.

“Daviss County sheriff’s deputies said that Ms Tramel, 31, was arrested on a misdemeanour count of public intoxication but later in custody allegedly sprayed a stream of breast milk into the face of a female deputy.

The sheriff’s office said that the deputy went through a “biohazard” decontamination process after the incident and that Ms Tramel was subsequently booked on an additional charge of third degree assault on a police officer, a felony.”

Thats a new one!

In a terrible case of a company not being in touch with whats going on around it, Nike Inc is being blasted for replacing its signature “Just Do It” slogan on some T-shirts with the phrases “Dope”, “Get High” and “Ride Pipe”.

The shoe and athletic apparel company said the terms are part of the lingo used by the skaters, snowboarders and participants in other extreme sports it’s trying to target with the shirts. But critics say the slogans endorse drug use.

It was bound to happen. This kind of poster I mean. My mate Andre the Property Broker, who usually sends me cute shit about kittens and stuff, sent me this… how apt.

I took it upon myself to pick up the Loose-wheel who currently doesn’t have a car. ( haha yes I know ) I had a serious case of had-to-get-antibiotics and dragged the Loose-wheel along to my dischem spree where I told the friendly not so friendly lady behind the counter that I would like to redeem my voucher for some pills. The lady didn’t even crack a wrinkle. Sour Grapes I tell you!

Ok first up like the thing says its a parody of Al Qaeda, and has nothing to do with religion. Ok that said, I saw this on eTV the other day and it’s awesome. Usually we see this kind of stuff coming out of the US of A but this time it’s local and it’s lekker.

So I wrote a little note on Judgement Day and we had some follow up articles on a certain someone who had some splainin’ to do. I apparently owe Harold Camping an apology because 21 May was not the day the world would end but it was the day that would draw a chain of events for globals destruction and so the world is set to end on October 21st.

He is that dude with the insane bicycle skills that makes us all feel like we need to spend the next few days running in the gym just to get a semblance of his skill and balance in our lives. Our mate Andre, you know Andre, the guy who keeps sending us cute things to post, well he sent me this and at first I rolled my eyes but towards the end I was completely mesmerized. This is SO cute, thanks Andre.

Do you suffer from Friggatriskaidekaphobia?

Or fear of Friday the 13th as it’s more commonly known. I’m starting to think Joe Social and Asstastic do. Maybe it’s because today is Friday the 13th? Or perhaps it’s because TheFrenchConnection’s alias is Jason? And he had his 13th birthday on Friday the 13th.

And he owns a hockey mask and a rusty machete.

Well, all but the last line is true, which had me doing a little research this morning as to where this superstition originated and why. You’ll perhaps be surprised to know that there’s not that much about Friday the 13th that is genuinely scary, although this may be less relevant if you’re a woman according to Simo Näyhä, M.D., Ph.D.

In a study presented to the American Psychiatric Association in 2002, it was concluded that the increase in road traffic deaths on Friday the 13th was incidental in men, however in women an estimated 38% of traffic deaths were directly atrributable to it being Friday the 13th.

Other than that, there’s alot of confusion as to where it orginated and why. According to Wikipedia at least, there doesn’t seem to be any recording of the date as unlucky before the 19th century.

There was one other interesting little piece of information that I dug up though. Infamous murderers Charles Manson, Harold Shipman, Frederick West, Saddam Hussein, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Theodore Bundy, and Jack the Ripper each have 13 letters in their names.

TheFrenchConnection hates most Fridays

We all know that the long arm of the law works long hours. We understand the pressures of the job. And we sympathise when we read about our law enforcement personnel being killed or injured in the line of duty, but we can’t really let this lie (excuse the pun).

Two of our boys in blue were snapped this week catching a little shuteye – on duty – in Pretoria. According to Eyewitness News even the bright flash of the camera and banging on the window wouldn’t wake these sleeping beauties.

Let’s hope they weren’t suffering from the dreaded sleep dribble. Now that would have been embarrassing!
